Unfortunately, being black and trying to get your nieces into this stable is frowned upon. My mother was greeted with off-putting remarks and not even a brochure, when inquiring about lessons. Btw my parents live in the area for over 25 years. I'm sure if she had decked out in her Kate spade or I'd she had been a lot lighter they would have treated her better. I wanted some different things for my nieces they usually wouldn't be exposed to, but all I got was a reminder of how this country no matter your status, that the color of skin Rules exclusivity. Guess we should get private lessons from true professionals

This was not a good experience for us. We switched from another stable because this one was closer and we regret it. My daughter no longer has any interest in riding after our experience. She was bit by a horse that wasn't supposed to have children grooming it but they failed to tell her, she was thrown from a horse, they closed the stables for a long stretch because of some of the horses being sick so we had to forfeit a large amount of money for lessons that simply were cancelled. We were all so happy when the season finally ended which is truly a shame. I would avoid entirely

HORSES!!! Who needs anything else in life?

No, you can't pet them unless you're an official guest/taking a class. You can see them poking their horse heads out of the stable from the walking path frequently, though.
You might be able to pay them in trade labor cleaning for them.
