WASTE OF TIME. These people are no help. they only care when it comes to taking your money. I apply for my CWL and wait months with no updates. Every time I call they tell me to hold on so they can check where it is then Hang up on me. After about 4 months now my application says my license is Issued and I will get it within 2weeks it’s going on to a month and nothing. Don’t even bother calling the number they have online it’s just going to put u in a Loop

For those applying for a concealed carry weapon license, I highly recommend doing this through the tax collector's office. The Florida Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services is basically treating covid as if it's airborne ebola, and most of their staff are teleworking. I applied for my concealed carry weapon license through the Leon County tax collector's office, and received my license about 5 weeks later. It is difficult to get a concealed carry weapon license directly through the Florida Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services because the Commissioner of Agriculture, Nikki Fried, is basically treating covid as if it were airborne ebola. Commissioner Fried is forcing her department's staff to work from home (telework), which is not useful when you need to stop by the department and get things done. This policy is running her department's laboratories into the ground, including the laboratory that tests the foods we eat to ensure they don't exceed federal pesticide tolerances. Keep all this in mind the next time she is up for re-election.

Exactly

If my CCW permit has expired, can it be renewed at a participating Collector's Office and what do I need to bring with me?
