Dealt directly with Ryan on selling some gold rings and bracelets. First I really liked his approach as he was direct and I found him more than fair. He offered me far more than his competitors and shared how we came up with his pricing - others did not. I walked away very happy, and I know that I will do business with him again!

Unprofessional. I won ~40 mineral specimens in a recent auction and most of them arrived with no labels or other documentation. Many had labels actually pictured or described in the auction write-ups. Others didn't. I asked if the auction house might still have the labels, or any other information to help me identify them, but my point of contact, Mary Brechlin at Nest Egg Auctions, didn't reply or follow up. Those specimens are now ~worthless. It is disappointing. I'm writing this a month and a week after my last inquiry. I assume the labels are long gone. Update: Holy cow. Nest Egg Auctions' reply to my review is a pile of lies I can easily verify with screenshots. My correspondence with Mary Brechlin of Nest Egg Auctions was conducted via messages on Invaluable. My last message to Mary, detailing the issues with missing labels, was dated 09/25/2019. I asked for nothing but the missing labels, photos of them, or any other possible help in identifying the specimens I couldn't identify. No reply. See the attached screenshot of my message. As I said, I wrote the original review a month and a week after reaching out. That's a fact. Nest Egg Auctions says I didn't contact them. That's a lie. I never had any issue with shipping charges. A number of pieces arrived broken and I was 100% open with the shipper. I provided them with an Excel spreadsheet detailing the lots I had won and their hammer prices, as well as a summary of the damage. Based on what I had paid for the specimens (a little over $2,800 + $800 shipping), I a) asked the shipper what he thought I should do about it, and b) at no point asked for any amount over *$170.* I did not ask for refunds for minor damage. Several specimens broke into multiple pieces or were ~crushed. I documented everything with photos. Nest Egg Auctions claims in their response that I asked UPS' insurance for more than what I had paid. A screenshot of my invoice verifying my total from Nest Egg Auctions ($2804.40) and a screenshot of an email from the UPS store is attached, showing that they were submitting an insurance claim for $170 on my behalf. Nest Egg Auction's claim -- that I requested more than what I had paid from an insurer -- is a malicious lie. When I wrote this review, I was disappointed with how Nest Egg Auctions had unprofessionally handled the minerals / labels I had won at their auction. After seeing their response, I would now say that they are not just careless, but clearly dishonest. I would not trust them with anything. They are liars. 100%, black and white. Liars.

I've had a auction relationship with Nest Egg for many years, from appraising to buying to selling. Every one of my experiences have been handled courteously and honestly. I find some of my favorite times are attending auctions at Nest Egg, a family run operation. Ryan, Jen and their mom are great to work with, as are all staff that are working during the auctions. During the Covid-19 situation, they've had to go basically 100% online, but we're hoping once the pandemic clears out, live auctions can get back to normal.
