Nice beach. No lifeguard on duty. Very shallow, you can walk far away from the shore and still stand in the water.

It was hot this day. Wish they had a few more trees along the beach area. Alot of dead trees around.

Yes you can, up to dusk when the park closes, there is no lifeguard
The beach/water is not open yet, but the play area, grills and picnic tables are available to be used. There are temporary bathroom facilities open also.
The beach/water was still closed this past Monday when we were there. The park, grills, tables, hiking trails are all open though. And there are temporary bathroom facilities available too. The main bath house/ showers are also still closed.
The campground is not at the same location as the beach. The campground is on the opposite side of the peninsula.
