I have been on the waiting list since 2003. Now I have a 6 yr old. Still working & live in Baltimore county. It is 2021 nothing yet. No answers. No help. I renewed my application may 19,2021. Then got a letter saying I was taking off the list. So I sent a email of my proof it was done & with R. Martin in a reply all. No answer. No replay. So I called sent more email. No answer. Do I loose my spot on the list. I hope COVID don't have their doors closed it October 21. I will get to York rd every week. With mini me. 🥺😢😥 Update I was able to fill out the voucher application. Sent it in November 2021. I got a letter in March 2022 stating(I approve to go in the waiting pool) list. Backdated to 2003. It is now September 19 2022 me & mini is still praying for our own room. 🙏🏽

I had a very polite ,patient and professional caseworker who was genuinely concerned about my situation. She helped me resolve my issue with compassion and understanding while guiding me through the process and explaining the requirements needed on my part to qualify for the emergency assistance needed. It help relieve a lot of stress I was experiencing due to my situation. I truly appreciate her approach to her job as more of a calling than just a job . Thank you , Ms M. Huddleston.

I took a neighbor here to drop off some paperwork for her new unit. The lady in cubicle 10 refused to take it and rudely demanded she place it in a drop box in the hallway. Aren't those people working behind that glass in those cubicles paid to receive the paperwork from housing clients? This lady is taking a paycheck and NOT doing the job she was hired to do. Btw on this particular morning this place was not crowded. They need to hire people that are professional and provide the services that the taxpayers pay them to provide. Stop treating poor people that need help and are doing what they are required to do in order to receive said help like garbage. What a DISGRACE!!!!

It's housing..don't go on a day you have something to do and expect to be there all day....I try and go when they first open or around 1 right after lunch things seem to flow a little smoother....

Ok thanks so much. Should i go to housing because i cant seem to through by phone
Ok so question good morning I wanna to know I just find a place how long to it’s take for u to move in for Baltimore country
You go to the office and submit your application
Call the city health dept, license and inspection and city ordinance dept. Go to court and put your money in escrow ASAP!
Are you sure it was reimbursement, I have seen them pay utilities, and that goes to the company, I have never heard of them paying people back for bills paid. Good luck
go to the islands apply and when they call you port it to where you want to move it will take at least 1 to 3 years lol
The Baltimore County Office of Housing does not own any properties. Rental assistance is provided only through vouchers which can be used to lease properties on the private market. There are numerous types of vouchers with many targeted to specific populations (e.g. veterans, disabled, etc.). The largest number of vouchers are through the Housing Choice Voucher program, often referred to as "Section 8."
Yes u should get a 2 bd rm after the child get a certain age
You Can't. You can find out if your name is active on the list . But not where you are on the list or how long you are going to have to wait.
Hi Amanda, did you give them the letter bc if you did you should have a reciept if you dropped it off use your Google timeline in Google maps for your proof. When you needed something in writing or typed from the place of employment with the company letter head how much tou make and all of that info but they should have give you a pretyped proof of income form to return but you can also access it on their website, look for a tab that says "forms" if I'm correct. In the mean time I would email them and contact the manager.
You can visit their website to answer all of you questions. To answer your 1st question HUD is a federal housing program that exist in almost all cities and counties. Their program covers the entire county so dundalk would be the Baltimore County just like Essex, Middle River, Whitemarsh, Owings Mills, Pikeville, Parkville, Randall's Town, Towson, Timonium, Lutherville and all over areas within Baltimore county. You only need to apply with Baltimore County and once approved you can search for a home throughout the entire country.
I need rental assistance I am having hard time keeping up
No they aren't open yet.
Contact HUD to see your position or status on the list I know their office is somewhere downtown
It usually takes 3-5 days
No
Call Baltimore county code enforcement
I guess I should get my butt out there to see what's going on.
call the. number it will give you options
No is not.
if you live out of state and has section 8 already all you have to do is do a port out. your paper works will go to thevhousing office then it will start all over with a new voucher for you to look for a place. you eill have 3 months.
Call your case manager or the inspection unit
Yes it's called porting. Let them know that's what you want to do.
