I filled an application 10 years ago, in 2020 they sent a form to update. Still have not heard anything. I’m desperate can’t afford where I live now, besides they want me to move so they can rent it for more. I applied for section 8 and still no response. I’ve call the office only answering machine. I have gone in person and office is closed. Who is available to help the senior citizens here. It’s a shame, I’ve worked all my life and now can’t get no help of any kind. God help us.

Lady said office is closed. No emergency services. No applications. Doesn't have an answer for any questions. So they are doing absolutely nothing but collecting a wage from the tax payers. Why do we need this department who helps no one.

Prisedent day
They open at 9am on Monday morning. You should call them before you go there.
You have to be a Bayonne resident and it's based on your income.
No you have to go to the office.
You can live anywhere when you apply but the BHA gives Bayonne residents first preference.
No, you can apply if you’re disabled and/or below/at/a little above the poverty level, as well. I’m 41, have a rare genetic disease, and need to find an apartment for me & my boyfriend, who is also my caregiver. We’re actually going today to fill an application for a voucher.
Absolutely not
