I have been calling for weeks in order to get a notary swear in appointment. I have called at different times throughout the day during their office hours and have received no response.

Normally it's impossible to get a live NJ clerk on the phone! They answered the call and helped navigate to the right department. I wish all NJ clerks would measure up to this level of customer service.

The County Clerk's Office has nothing to do with marriages/divorces. This question would be better suited for the Matrimonial division in the New Jersey courts.908-787-1650
Yes you had to call and ask for appointment and when you call they will tell you what you need to bring
Get the forms from union county's website and take it to the clerk with the filing fee.

No, you get pet licenses at your Municipal Clerk's Office. Check with your town/city hall.
Where do I register power of attorney papers.
Not in the UC Clerk's Office. You can check with the construction official in the town where you live or the builder of the property.
The police station
Go to State of NJ- or whatever State you were born in- online Vital Records, you can order copy or certified copy I believe . Birth certificate not done at county.
You need to prepare & record a Deed, or better, have an attorney or Title Co. handle the process for you. I am not an attorney, nor do I assume any responsibility for information given....
The Union County Clerk's Office does not handle Apostilles. The purpose of an apostille is to authentic a document that will be used in a foreign country. The Union County Clerk's Office does, however issue clerk certificates for notaries/attorneys that have executed legal documents intended for use in foreign countries. The purpose of the clerk certificate is to validate/verify that the notary/attorney is in good standing and able to execute said document. Please see link below for more information regarding apostilles: https://www.state.nj.us/treasury/revenue/apostilles.shtml
Go to ancestry.com to search for all his info and to social security to claim his benefits depending on your age
Birth certificates must be requested from the vital statistics department in the town/city in which you were born. The vital statistics office is generally located in the town/city hall of your respective town.
You do not need an appointment to be sworn in as a notary. You can go either to the Elizabeth or Westfield office to be sworn in. Please check their website for hours of operation.
