I traveled about 20 miles to leave food. It was raining and no one answered the door in mid afternoon. It was then I realized the lone hardworking gentlemen was easily multitasking. Was able to leave the food. Add four stars to the one.

This is the only foodbank in Marion County that is part of the Feeding America network. They are not open to the public, Only to the pantries and soup kitchen in Marion county FL. If you are in need of food, please seek out the pantries. There are several throughout the county. First Step actually services about 48 of them. Hope that helps!

Hello Rose, yes Ronnie is correct. We are not open to the public. Our service is the main bank for Marion County for food "Pantries" to pick-up food. We also have a Food Pantry in Ocala, Florida for Marion County. GARDEN OF EDEN is open every 2nd and 3rd Saturday of each month from 9am-2pm.
First Step is a Food Bank. They Supply Food to the Food Pantry. They supply only to Marion County. I am Director of a Food Pantry and only Supply to Marion county residents.
