Very pleasant when I call
Vickymouse
Had a running toilet issue that ran my bill up to an outrageous amount. The city communicated with me throughout the entire process and helped me so immensely. I'm incredibly grateful for their help!

Terrible customer service
Stephen Zentz
We called to have the water switched over into our name, from previous tenants and had the misfortune of speaking with Nichole, who lacks customer service skills and voice volume. When I told her I was having difficulties hearing her or asked to clarify details, she simply repeated, in the same low, monotone voice that she'd previously said... like a robot.

As far as specifying the areas where pipes still need to be run, we ask the customers/realtors/builders to call us at 772-873-6400 with a specific address, as areas may have some streets with the ability to convert to water/sewer and some streets that are not available at this time. Thank you!
Thank you for contacting Port St. Lucie Utility Systems. Our Laboratory Supervisor has provided the following information regarding your inquiry: The City’s drinking water is considered moderately soft (60 – 80 mg/L as CaCO3) and as such does not need to be softened. Some customers like water without hardness because it helps reduce the amount of detergent that is used on a daily basis. We do not recommend the use of water softeners in part because they remove the chlorine from the water which is used to prevent regrowth of bacteria in the piping systems and upset the chemical balance of the water making it more corrosive. Additionally the initial costs, of a softening system, can be very high, plus the monthly maintenance costs. The decision is left to individual but I would recommend that they look into the pros and cons of a water softener system when attached to a public water supply. Please let us know if you need more information. Thank you!
