First time here today. Workers were nice. I got here about 9:30 and was out by 11am, no line outside even when I left. They have armed security which is good. Great AC so bring a jacket or wait outside. It’s been recently remodeled so it’s very clean and they can hire more workers since being remodeled.Hopefully the positions will be filled soon. Face mask are required.

NEWS UPDATE!! NO MORE OUTSIDE LINES! renovation is over .... thank you 😊 💓 sat inside the whole time... very nice and more open for more people! But no photos aloud inside.

I’ve never encountered a security officer as rude as this place’s security officer! From the get go he was unreasonably disrespectful and felt like he’s abusing his power just to prove himself? This guy is the gate keeper so he needs to work on his soft skills and learn how to be professional and communicate with people!

So the wait times are terrible. 2 hours is just insane. So be prepared. There’s only one “Speed of Government” - SLOW! However, the guy who took care of me… Mr. Bacon, was an absolute PRO. Give that man a promotion and a raise!

Go to the social security website there is a form and also it will explain what is needed.
Not necessarily you can file on line ,over the phone, but in order to speak with someone in the office it would be best to make an appt.
What is the youngest age
How do I make an appointment to resolve IRMAA adjustments. I can't get a live person on the phone.
How come none of the questions asking how to make an appointment have no answers?
The SSA uses (along with the info you provided) information from Equafax-one of the credit reporting agencies. If you have no credit history, they have no record of you. This is why you cannot open a "my ssa account". Like you, I tried for 3 days to set up acct, like you, I KNOW my personal info, and like you, my attempts ended in being locked out and suspended. Stupid, but true. Good luck w/alternate methods.
I need to update my address for Soc. Security. How do I do this
Call them
YES! You must report changes such as Address, Rental payments, Jobs & Income within 10-30 days or risk losing benefits permanently and having to back pay money as a result!

Have called many times to no avail. Have tried on line, but their questionnaire makes it impossible for me to solicit a new SS card. Have no idea what to do.
Communicate in person any other way is difficult
Social security naturally turns you down twice until you turn a full retirement age. It's not fair but that's just what they do.
If you file for death online, or in person you are not dead.
Call the number, wait for an hour to talk to a rude person only to be given an appointment that is months out! Your best bet is to come down to the office and be prepared to stand in line for literally four hours.
Walk in. Just a heads up, they only allow a certain number of people inside the building at a time. So the line outside is always long. Bring water!!
Yes
I was there three weeks ago. I thought Google Maps got confused. Apparently, the City Council approved bill 2020-262 during a virtual Zoom city council meeting, which renamed the southern portion of Bonneval Road to Bentley Road. The SSA's address change took effect on December 3, 2020, based on Rep. John Rutherford's tweet.
If you have to verify anything with Social Security, you need to do it in person. The SSA does not ask for sensitive information over the phone. Hopefully, you did not disclose any.
It is not required now.
That should be enough information but call before going in case you need an appointment
They still aren't seen people in the office.. They are make appointments for someone to talk about stuff over the phone.
This is a question for ssa
File for a SS card name change.
Call them and let them know.
They told me I would have to mail in my actual ID if it doesn't work to apply online
No you don't just walk in.. Sign in n wait.. Mke sure you hve her birth certificate
Sure but you won't be seen at that time
Yes
Be there when the doors open at 9 am..
If you've gotten a telephone call about fraud in your account, it's part of an ongoing scam. Go to the Social Security Administration website, there is a link to their Inspector General who is investigating. SSA contacts you by mail only.
An applicant for name change will need a legal document to go back to maiden name. Example; court order name change or a divorce decree establishing your maiden name restoration. People who are naturalize USA citizents can change their name when they get USA citizenship. A person can only change their name with a legal court order name change, or divorce decree with name restoration or certificate of naturalization after obtaining citizenship.
Yes they do call back a recording comes on and you give a call back
Social Security
Call them Social Security.. It's a time-frame to it
Go to your ssa office and apply to be your own payee.
If you have an SSA on line account, you can get it that way. If you don't you will need to visit a local office, but you will probably be all set within minutes of sitting down with an SSA agent.
You will need a valid driver's license or identification card. You can update your address at the same time.
No but it's with the hour of appointment time
Yes, everyone can
Yes you can, but the wait on hold on the phone is less grueling than the wait at the office. Best advice, get there an hour before they open to get in line. You will get to see someone immediately.
Yes you can, you might even be able to just do it online and they mail you a new one.
The st augustine Social security office is not normally open on Saturday or Sunday.
Nope

They have been a blessing to me.And they is there for JGOD fist and then for people to help them in different areas of life.I love y'all like crazy.Hsve s great day.John 13:34-35.

You have to come to the office to apply its easier
To Obtain a New Social Security Number and Card you will need to provide at least two documentsto prove age, identity, and U.S. citizenship or current immigration status. To Obtain a Replacement Card, if lost or stolen, you must prove your identity and U.S. citizenship.
I retired from the military in 93. I asked the same question and was told that the SSA knows about our service because it’s flagged when they took it out of our paychecks (EIN flag). Their system adds the $100 (In our cases) automatically now. You used to have to take a DD-214 down there with you to prove it ‘in the old days’. It’s all done automatically now in their system. I know - I didn’t trust them either so I went to the St Augustine office and talked with another retired guy that worked there. He showed me everything I needed to say ‘okay’ and I trusted him to tell me the truth. There’s also info online you can find through Google and the SSA FAQ’s. Hope this helps ya!! Thanks alout
You receive the greater amount if the 2. If his benefits are higher than yours will be, then you will keep his, if yours amount is higher, you will receive yours. But not both
You can change it online or call the ssa during their business hours.
Whatever you do, avoid going here. It will compound the tragedy.
Wait..why is it sarcasm though?
