After receiving a ticket and having no idea what to do, Bill was able to step in and clearly communicate what to do next. Took my case and was able to get me results I was happy with. Very communicative, well-spoken, and educated!!

When a family member needed assistance from an attorney Barnwell law is who we used. He is very professional, knowledgeable, and very empathetic to the situations he is looking into. I would recommend William Barnwell to anyone needing a defense attorney. He really gets the best possible outcome!!!

Barnwell Law is truly THE BEST!! He’s professional, knows what he’s doing, explained every detail thoroughly, and truly cares about his clients. He got me out of a speeding ticket with zero points on my record. I would highly recommend him.

Questions & Answers

How do you charge your retainers?

Retainers are charged by a flat-fee depending on the type of case. Obviously, a felony is going to cost more than a misdemeanor, and a life offense more than a lower severity felony. Clients are not billed by the hour, do not have to watch the clock during phone calls and office visits, and are not billed separately for each individual court hearing, text message, email, etc. Flat fees are transparent. Payment is generally due up-front that covers everything except trials and evidentiary hearings. If a case proceeds to a bench or jury trial, a further payment would be due before the trial date. If a case does not proceed to an evidentiary hearing or trial, no further payment would be due.
