Our waitress was very nice, but the food was not. We had the steak, chicken, and veggie hibachi meals. Nobody enjoyed their dish. I did not try the rice, but the fried noodles seemed to have no sauce, flavor, or seasoning besides LOTS of pepper. I mean a TON of pepper. I couldn't eat them The staff is lovely, but I would NOT suggest this restaurant to any other travelers because of the high price and bad food. ~$70 for three meals that nobody liked, and that was with our hotel discount.

It's advertised as Japanese Hibachi that means you cook in front of the customer not in a kitchen. The food was disgusting!! The rice was completely gross to the point numerous people in our party only ate a fork full. It was fried white rice with nothing but black pepper, a LOT of pepper! Definitely will never go back when visiting the lake next time.

Nice people but it is NOT cook at your table. We have been to several of Fujiyama restaurants and were excited to visit one on our vacation this time. We arrived to find a sign on the door that states that they were unable to cook at your table. We took a chance anyway to try the restaurant as we have had consistently good food and service at other restaurants on previous visits. We were seated by the hostess. We passed by the sushi bar and the empty main dining room and were seated with the majority of people in the back hallway near what seems to be a service entrance. The waitress was very pleasant but service was not very prompt. We ordered the chicken dinner only to find that the chicken was very tough and not very good. There was a large portion of rice which was very good. The soup and tea were both lukewarm. Service was slow and we were at the very last table so we did not see the waitress very often. In keeping with the slow service, the check was a long time in coming and we were happy to leave once the meal was complete. As we were leaving we saw that they were starting to seat people at the cooking tables but did not see any chefs servicing that area. Overall, a disappointing dining experience that I would not recommend for my fellow travelers.

Food was fresh and tasted good. Portion was large. However chef got up in flame😉. Show was great.
