Readers should understand that these reviews are relative to other Assisted Living Facilities, and require experience to assess relative to all others. Over the past 5 years, 2 elderly parents and pretty much all of the Raleigh local SNF's, and multiple stays in UNC Rex-Apex, this is the top local offering. The facility is clean, the staff is competent, committed and caring, the patients/residents are treated with respect and dignity and their safety, comfort and care is a priority. Support for family and ancillary services is best in the area. The support staff communicates well and helps family understand and negotiate tough choices. Compared to our other experiences (Pruitt, Universal, The Laurels, etc.), UNC Rex-Apex is the best option, without peer.

This facility has no Covid plan in place. My mother was just there and the lady in her room tested positive so my mom was also quarantined which meant no physical therapy which was the reason she was there. So instead of mom going backwards we made the decision for her to leave. We really liked this facility but were extremely frustrated that their was no plans of action in place if a person tests positive for Covid to be moved. Also my mom told them that all members of this patients family had Covid when this patient came in( per the patient) they still chose to leave her exposed to another patient

The social workers really helped my family plan for care for my mother in law.

8am-10pm. If you have to leave after 10pm an employee would be happy to walk you out.

I will be coming to your facility in a couple of weeks for rehab after leg surgery. The dr. said 2-3 weeks. I was there about 15 months ago. Ni e facility and staff. I was wondering if there is any way to get a private room.

Yes, there is . You will need to contact the facility as soon as possible to let them know you will be coming and want one. They go pretty fast. If there is none ask to be put on a waiting list.
