This place continues to go downhill. "Adult" cashiers should remain at their register instead of gossiping with their friends where they cant see a line at their register, which had the light on. They should also refrain from throwing ANY item purchased in the cart. I have been shopping at this store fore over 10 years and I would be embarrassed knowing I had someone working for me, with this attitude. My interactions with some of the younger, newer staff has been fine .. most are helpful and polite.

This is posted as a question. There is a high probability seen by your fellow shoppers over anyone in charge at Food Lion. Did you contact the store manager about this? Was it so marked on the shelf vs a computer price error?
