Textbook bait and switch operation. Online estimator tool says $1500-$2,000 max for bodywork on a couple of dents and dings and paint. The girl pressed on every bubble and even chipped some of the paint off of my car, then told me that it would run no less than $4,000. Typical sleaze-ball body shop.

Seriously just stop in. It only takes a few minutes to give a quote and this way it will be more accurate.

Yes they can. But like John M said, it should be done correctly. As an employee of an Auto paint manufacturer i can tell you , the paint could be pricey depending on color and original paint type.
