Hi! Thank you for your question! And I know it seems odd to you- but it goes by time and driving. The computer in your vehicle knows it’s been about a year and measures the quality of the oil based on time. Because you’ve put so few miles on the car, you’re likely fine, but it won’t stop reminding you. If you want to stop in, we can check your oil and re set your timer. It’s always best to check your oil, and not just ignore it. Your first visit is complimentary within the first 12 months. Let me know if you have any other questions.
