went to this location to volunteer with a friend thats mixed/colored. as we were walking up to the door an older white man asked me if i brought the monkey with me. very unpleasant environment.queen B - Thank you for volunteering at South Michigan Food Bank. We have identified the volunteer who made this comment - behaviors like this are not tolerated and we are actively managing the situation to ensure this is not repeated. Hi Margie, we have a pantry open Mondays at the old Kmart parking lot from 4:00pm - 6:00 pm. Tuesdays from 3:00 pm - 5:00 pm we have a pantry open at South Michigan Food Bank.
Hi Nora, South Michigan Food Bank has a pantry (Fort Food Pantry) which is open every Tuesday from 3:00 - 5:00. You may come to the pantry once per month. In addition to the pantry, on the first Tuesday of each month is a Fresh Food Distribution from 2:30 - 4:30. To receive food, simply attend the pantry hours at 5451 Wayne Road Battle Creek, MI. We suggest you bring bags or boxes to carry your grocery items.
Hi, Shauna! You don't have to live in the county in which you're picking up food. You don't need to bring anything either, but you do need to have the following information for each household for which you're picking up: name, address, the number of people in the household, and their ages.
