Took my GTR here and at first was hesitant to have my door dings glue pulled, however Jack was very thorough explaining everything and he did great work. He even took me in to do the work same day. I highly recommend him!

Excellent service and work. Someone tried to break into my vehicle and damaged the door key cylinder and dented the door. The dealership body shop wanted to paint both doors but I decided to go with PDR. I am glad I found this company and I am very happy with the result. Posted some before and after photos, still need to replace the key cylinder. Highly recommend.

Questions & Answers

Are you the same company as Texas Dent located at the same address, just a different suite number?

Pro Hail and Dent Repair | Sep 27, 2022

No. Totally separate company.

What kinds of dents do you fix?

Pro Hail and Dent Repair | Sep 29, 2018
Pro Hail and Dent Repair | Sep 29, 2018

Usually hail damage, minor fender benders (excluding bumpers), shopping cart dings. If they are shallow dents, those are usually good candidates. If the dent is too deep, and the metal has been stretched, we may not be able to restore it 100%.

Do you drill or punch holes in the bodywork in order to do PDR?

Pro Hail and Dent Repair | Sep 29, 2018
Pro Hail and Dent Repair | Sep 29, 2018

Absolutely not! Some cowboy outfits might do this because they don't know how to properly repair dings and dents. It's very rare to make holes to do PDR. In some cases, the repair is not possible with PDR, and we'll recommend you see a regular auto body shop/

Should I get my car washed and detailed before bringing it in for repair?

Pro Hail and Dent Repair | Sep 29, 2018
Pro Hail and Dent Repair | Sep 29, 2018

You don't have to, although it’s quite common for dents to be more visible once the car is cleaned up. If it’s coming in for PDR, we recommend an exterior hand wash at a minimum. If PDR is performed on a dirty car, chances are you may discover more dents that need fixing once you have it cleaned, resulting in more repairs needing to be made.

I'm pretty handy around the house and own lots of hammers and mallets. Can I fix this myself?

Pro Hail and Dent Repair | Sep 29, 2018
Pro Hail and Dent Repair | Sep 29, 2018

You are more than welcome to try and do it yourself. After all, YouTube is full of DIY videos claiming you can do stuff yourself. However, you probably won't be happy with the result, and you'll spend hours messing with it. Not only that, when you do bring it to us, it might cost more to repair than if you'd brought it to us in the first place.

How do I get to your dent repair shop?

Pro Hail and Dent Repair | Sep 29, 2018
Pro Hail and Dent Repair | Sep 29, 2018

We are close to Frankford Rd and Preston Rd, just south of the President George Bush Turnpike. Our address is in Dallas, but we are very close to Plano. If exiting at the turnpike, take the Preston Rd exit, going south until you get to Frankford Rd. Head east until you reach Davenport Rd, then turn right, heading south. We are on the right (west) wide of the road. When you see the Gymnastics Place (17815 Davenport Rd), get ready to slow down. We are just past their building.

Do you work with insurance to get my car fixed?

Pro Hail and Dent Repair | Sep 29, 2018
Pro Hail and Dent Repair | Sep 29, 2018

Yes, a lot of work we do here at our location on Davenport Rd is to do with insurance claims. We get a lot of hail in the Plano/Dallas area every year, so insurance companies are very familiar with what is needed to fix your vehicle. We take pictures and videos and send to the insurance company and even have them come to our shop to see the finished result.

What tools do you use to get rid of the dents so you don't damage the metalwork?

Pro Hail and Dent Repair | Sep 29, 2018
Pro Hail and Dent Repair | Sep 29, 2018

We use PDR specific metal rods of all shapes and sizes to slowly "massage" out the dent from the backside of the damaged panel

How long does it take to repair my car dings?

Pro Hail and Dent Repair | Sep 29, 2018
Pro Hail and Dent Repair | Sep 29, 2018

It depends on the extent of the damage. Nickel size dents in an accessible area can be repaired in a matter of minutes, a larger deeper dent on a body line could take hours. If you have a lot of hail damage, it could be a day or so.

What does PDR stand for?

PDR stands for Paintless Dent Repair.

I'm getting ready to sell my car which has a few minor dings. Can PDR help me get more money for my car?

Pro Hail and Dent Repair | Sep 29, 2018
Pro Hail and Dent Repair | Sep 29, 2018

Ever hear the saying “Image is everything”? Most people judge a car by its appearance. If it looks good they assume it has been well taken care of. Used car dealers and wholesalers know this. They also know what they spend on PDR will make them many times over what they spend, and will help them sell the car quicker. If you’re selling your car, PDR is one of the best ways to get top dollar, more interested buyers, and a quicker sale.

I have a lot of hail damage dings on my car. Do you offer discounts for quantity?

Pro Hail and Dent Repair | Sep 29, 2018
Pro Hail and Dent Repair | Sep 29, 2018

Yes. We offer discounts for multiple dents. If you have more than one minor dent on a panel, we can generally include those dents for very little extra depending on the sizes and number of dents. If your car has a lot of minor dents, we offer a per car price that is very reasonable.

Do you offer paint work or remove scratches from the paint?

Pro Hail and Dent Repair | Sep 29, 2018
Pro Hail and Dent Repair | Sep 29, 2018

No, we don’t. There are too many quality problems with the quick mobile paint repair systems. If your vehicle needs paint work, I’ll be happy to refer you to a quality paint shop in your area.

Can any dent be fixed?

Pro Hail and Dent Repair | Sep 29, 2018
Pro Hail and Dent Repair | Sep 29, 2018

No. The most important factors in determining if a dent can be repaired by PDR are depth and location. Dents the size of a dinner plate or larger can be fixed successfully, as long as they are not too deep. On the other hand, some dents that are as small as a dime but very deep, cannot be fixed using PDR because the metal is too stretched. Cracked paint can also be an indication that a dent is too deep. The most common dents fixed are from hail damage and are the size of a golf ball and under. 95% of minor dents can be repaired. About 5% of minor dents can’t be fixed due to depth or location. Areas such as some quarter panel opening lips, some forward areas of heavily braced hoods, or the very edges of some panels are examples of bad locations.

Do dents come back once they've been fixed with PDR?

Pro Hail and Dent Repair | Sep 29, 2018
Pro Hail and Dent Repair | Sep 29, 2018

Absolutely not. Once a dent has been removed properly with PDR, it never comes back. Most dents repaired conventionally develop a ring around the dent, or sand scratch marks 3 – 6 months after the repair. This is never the case with properly performed PDR.

Will the dents be 100% fixed?

Pro Hail and Dent Repair | Sep 29, 2018
Pro Hail and Dent Repair | Sep 29, 2018

On minor dents, in most cases yes. The deeper the dent, the more difficult it is to repair. Even on larger dents, once we’re done, most people are amazed at the results. We always explain in detail, how your dent will look before any work is started.

Does the paint get damaged when you repair hail damage with PDR?

Pro Hail and Dent Repair | Sep 29, 2018
Pro Hail and Dent Repair | Sep 29, 2018

No. Today’s factory paints are very flexible and will not be damaged in any way by this process. PDR is the only way to repair a dent and still keep your factory paint. If there was damage to the paint caused by hail, then we're not going to be able to repair existing paint damage.

What are the benefits of PDR?

Pro Hail and Dent Repair | Sep 29, 2018
Pro Hail and Dent Repair | Sep 29, 2018

The most important benefit is quality. This method is the closest you can get to the dent never happening in the first place. No grinding, bondo, fillers, or primers are needed because your original factory paint is not disturbed. There are no problems with filler or paint shrinkage months after the repair as is typical with most body shop repairs. Cost is also a major benefit of PDR. Time savings is yet another advantage. That same dent can be fixed in less than an hour. A body shop will take 3 – 5 days or longer.

What is PDR and how is it different from traditional body shops?

Pro Hail and Dent Repair | Sep 29, 2018
The Big D | Sep 29, 2018

Paintless dent repair repairs a dent in "reverse" that is, from the opposite side of the panel. Pros ? Fixes your dent with zero dirt, fish eyes, human error, etc in your paint. CONS ? None other than if your damage is so extensive you need to go to a bodyshop anyway. Jack is a "PHD" in pdr. If your damage can be fixed by that process, stop looking, you can't do any better than here. I sell PDR and have my own shop, I know what I'm talking about. You have found your shop.
