We had a large party at the fish and game building. It has a great kitchen, with freezer / refrigerator. It was very clean, and we all had a great time.

Love this lake! Very nice to relax, have a picnic, walk and take a nap. The geese are very nice to look at. I also like that it wasn't full of people.

Lots of space, beautiful view. The bridge that you walk out across is nice. Lots of birds. Gave 4 stars cause I wish they allowed dogs.

I enjoy going to the lake to fish and let the kids cool off occasionally. The back of the lake is the popular spot for fishing because it is free but bathrooms have always been nasty and has been a porta potty for several years. If you need to go you pray it's stocked with toilet paper and someone hasn't taken it for some odd reason. The front of the lake is a pay to enjoy area which is fine but it would be nice if it was more developed with vendors regularly for food and stuff. Also would be nice to have access to all the shoreline to fish. I had a negative experience once while not in a swimming area. I was holding my toddler's hand and we were getting our toes wet and some sheriff explorers or something came up trying to bark orders. They said no swimming, there are signs right there. We were not swimming at all. I felt like giving him the bird and telling him to call his boss with the real badge but I had a few things to do that day still and was about to leave anyways. Overall the lake is better than nothing but with the future growth of Merced they better step up their game because it could be a great recreation area for all and maybe come close to being as nice as some of the places I've visited in the surrounding counties of the San Joaquin valley.

Unfortunately, Lake Yosemite is only open for day use Monday through Friday.
It's calm early but the afternoon to evening is busy with boats and people.Restrooms at the boating area are non existent, expect a 100+yd.walk.If you get there late you may be disappointed.
See them jumping aint caught nothing but feeding ducks is fun with the grands
No, but plenty of places to bbq, they installed a lot more grills and benches, there's a park for the kids to play on by the lake and horseshoes to play. The lake was really high but the dirt around the lake soaked it up. It's so a fun place to go and the year pass pays for itself if you go 5 or more times!
The main entrance says no dogs. But if you go in the back of the lake people bring thier dogs all the time.
Yes
To get in you just have to pay 6 dollars for the whole day and that's it
