*Update- Thank you so much for clearing up the misunderstanding! We were not aware split-body trucks were being used. We pay for 3 bins. One for household trash, one for yard waste, and one for recycling. Today I watched the Cal-Waste truck stop in front of my house, pick up my recycling bin, dump it in the back, and then promptly dump my TRASH bin right on top of it!!!!

Hi Judith, They must be brought to your local Household Hazardous Waste (HHW) collection center. They are listed on county websites. You can start by going to this website (https://www.calrecycle.ca.gov/HomeHazWaste/directory), and then you can navigate to your county.

You need to call the office. It has to be booked in advance on your scheduled service day. Tree branches are acceptable as long as they've been cut down 5 ft or less and they have to be bundled together with rope twine or duct tape. No bundle may exceed 50 pounds.
