When you charge people $10 a day to watch basketball, maybe make sure your entire building does not smell like hot urine. Also, these are legitimately the most disgusting bathrooms I have ever been in. Like frat house, gas stations, bars— nothing compares to house gross these facilities are. No soap, no locks on the doors, flooded floors. Just. Gross.

My daughter plays for a CVA team under Coach Oppy. We went to our first tournament yesterday. I decided to stay and watch rather than drop my daughter off. I learned that she had picked her schedule so she could watch her daughter play. She told us since there was no backup coach for her team, she would have the coach of the opposing team run her team instead. I can’t believe it! I watched her leave the team and go sit on the benches at another court while our team proceeded to lose all our games. We actually had a chance to win the first two games but let the other coach move our players out of position to lose on purpose. Oppy had no intention of helping our players succeed, and it destroys confidence/interest in playing the game when adults make decisions like this. I am told that the CVA coaches are paid to be in these positions. That means she was paid to watch her daughter play. Will I also be paid for staying and watching our team play? It only seems fair since we are in fact PAYING to have a coach actually coach our daughters.

I was pleasantly surprised walking into this building to see the safety measures with betting and wheel-chair accessibility. The courts are in great condition, easily marked and there is even a concession stand for food, drinks, and snacks, including beer. I was not impressed with the condition of the restroom. While there are several stalls, they did not appear that clean, the sinks broken and the dryers also broken. Once they are able to fix these items, it should be a nice plac.
