I moved here from a sister church on the west coast about two years ago and have found these people to be very genuine, sincere, loving, and helpful. I read all of the reviews that were posted over the past few years and think it is unfortunate that a few people have written 1 star review but did not provide any specific content, though a few people say that they are controlling, I have not found this to be the case. In my walk as a Christian over the past 25 years I have had some ups and downs and times I was very close to God and times I wasn't. Over the past two years I have experienced a lot of love and kindness. I have seen and heard people preaching from the word of God, using the bible as a guideline to help themselves and others, and using the bible as the standard. For a while I was not attending regularly for a number of reasons, mostly work related, and I had a few people tell me they missed me, or hoped that I was doing well, but nothing that made me feel uncomfortable or pressured. The scripture can make you feel all kinds of things depending on how you live your life and if you take what is says seriously, but that is God talking. If I ever find a person is trying to make me feel guilty or pressured (which I haven't in this congregation) but if I did, God says we can talk it through and correct sin with scripture. People are people and we will let each other down sometimes, we can't help it, it's in our nature (ever been hurt by a family member?) well, at any rate. I am so grateful for the help I have received by the guidance of loving people that have become my friends, that have used the scripture and not their own opinions to help my family, marriage, and children. I believe young or old that this a a very good place to be, a church that serves and gives back to the community with many projects throughout the year including blood drives, coat drives, and spends money on the community as well with benevolence projects. If you are reading reviews, please come and check it out, and if you don't like it, you don't need to come back, but I believe you will find a different experience and think you will stay. I'm a 50 year old man with a wife, 4 children, 3 dogs, and 2 cats, I say this so you know where I'm coming from and my recommendation is that you build your own faith and convictions based on Gods word, but let the people around you help you along the way.
