I cannot say enough good things about this office! The entire staff is friendly, caring and knowledge. Dr Tim and Dr Val are top notch! With them I have experienced everything from routine vaccinations to having to make the gut wrenching decision to let my baby go. They are clear in their explanations which makes making the right decision so easy.

Our boy, Clark, died a year ago this coming September 24, just east of Afton as we were traveling. We were treated so kindly. We were on a trip from Florida to Maine. It was a hard time. Country Care took care of cremation for Clark and we picked him up the following week in our way home. They made a difficult time much easier.

Reading some negative reports about Seresto Flea collars. Are they safe for dogs?

Hi Chris, Thank you for the great question! We read that story this morning also. Unfortunately, it is really bad journalism. We have seen a few issues with the Seresto Collars in our patients. The first is probably the most significant in that it is a very highly counterfeited product. We see fake seresto collars almost daily. The other issue we have seen on occasion is if the collar is placed on too tightly or it isn't properly wiped down before applying it, in rare instances it may cause the some hairloss and a chemical type burn in animals who are sensitive to it. The other issue we have seen, but very rarely is when the collar is too loose, it may slip down over the mandible and the animal may end up chewing on it which causes them to drool like crazy. (or if they chew on house-mate's collars). We haven't seen any sort of neurological issues in any patients over the years we have seen them on the market. I would consider them one of the safest collars on available.
