They have a gravel parking lot in the back. Follow the road from the entrance and you should be able to find it.

Thank you for having an interest in coming to visit Sonnenberg Gardens. The first floor of the mansion is open so you would want to start the walkthrough of the mansion by 3:30 as the grounds close at 4pm.

The estate, along with the mansion built in 1887, was owned by Frederick Ferris Thompson and Mary Clark Thompson. As Mary was originally from this area, we like to think that Sonnenberg was a gift from Frederick to Mary. When Frederick died in 1899, Mary traveled for a few years and then came back to create many of the beautiful gardens that the estate has today -- some modeled after places she and Frederick visited and others after places they would have liked to visit.

There are volunteers who drive extended golf carts that can hold six passengers. They will drive you and answer questions.
