The best! I have 2 very anxious GSD and the staff here is amazing. Going to the vet is never inexpensive but at least I know that I am not paying for unnecessary tests ect just to increase revenue.

This is easily the best veterinarian practice I’ve ever been to. The staff is friendly, the facilities are welcoming, and Dr Snakard’s bedside manner is impeccable. I would rate it higher if I could.

Depending upon what type of examination is needed (wellness/sick pet/emergency/etc) the cost would be between $52 - $85. Do you neuter cats? And if so, how much is the cost?

Ben Mcdougal | Sep 28, 2020
Stack Veterinary Hospital | Sep 28, 2020

Thank you for the email. We do neuter and spay cats. In order for you kitty to be admitted into the hospital for his neuter, we would need proof of vaccines (rabies and distemper combination) from his veterinarian (if not us). If he is not current, we would need to update the vaccines and schedule surgery about 2 weeks later. The cost can vary greatly depending upon your kitty's age and medical condition but would start at about $375. That includes the surgery, labwork, pain medication before and after surgery, anti-nausea medication, micochip (optional) and a collar to go home so he doesn't lick at the incision. Please call us at 315-478-3161 to discuss the procedure. We look forward to hearing from you! Patty, Business Manager

I’m thinking about boarding my dog here but want to know if they crate the dogs in small or spacious areas? My dog isn’t crate trained so I’m worried it might cause her anxiety if she’s in a small crate.

Kelsee Katsanes | Sep 29, 2019
Stack Veterinary Hospital | Sep 29, 2019

Hi Kelsee, Thank you for your interest in our boarding facility. Depending upon the size/weight of your dog they may be in a cage or run. All dogs must be able to stand and/or lay down without touching the top or sides of the cage. If you would like more information, please call us at 315-478-3161and ask for one of our boarding managers - they would be glad to answer any questions. Patty

My almost 2 is going blind from cataracts. What does it cost to fix this before she goes completely blind.

Glenda Milligan | Sep 29, 2019
James Simon | Sep 29, 2019

I can't speak to the cost of treatment, but it's been my experience that Stack is very good about fair and up front pricing. I have cats that are ill and Stack has been very good about working with me on costs, and will even find a cheaper alternative in some cases. They really do go out of their way to help in my experience. Sorry your pup is sick, I'm sure they will help!!
