The phone/electronic locker was confusing at first but the nice security guards opened it for me and let me reuse my 4 quarters. I went in to get a concealed carry permit, the service was 3 minutes. Anna was amazing and such a breath of fresh air. Promote her immediately!

Staff is very helpful, and friendly. When you go, your attitude sets the tone. The staff are willing to those who are needing/wanting assistance. The staff are public servants, paid with your taxes. The staff are very knowledgeable within their expertise, and will assist you in remedying what you came for. From the time you enter the building, and meet the Deputies, pass through the scanner, and get to the department you need, you need to be plesant to all of the staff, they are people to. Treat others as you would like to be treated. Remember, you get more with sugar than vinegar. The Judges, are also good people, they are in charge of enforcing laws/codes,...sometimes we may not be in agreement with their decision, however it's their job to enforce the rules/codes/law. Put yourself in the staff's shoes, and walk the distance. Respectfully, Mike

As a former Deputy Clerk II, I can not lie. Some deputy clerks get too involved in customer's cases by labeling their files with a yellow sticky about the litigant's religion or political status, thus effecting litigant's outcomes. Many customers are treated differently. Unlike my coworker, who was arrested for stealing, she only paid $71 and stole over $400 worth of merchandise. Of course, behind the veil, some customers are called out of their names like Towel Heads (racist). No employee evaluations where ever done to determine up to 20% raises and unadvertised promotions. Favoritism is real. Ironically, City Council approves the budget without questioning how the staff is treated. When my father died, I had to prove it to Gary Anderson that my father ceremony was occurring in Illinois but other employees who did not look like me did not have to follow such inhumane protocol. This Clerk office needs immediate change because nobody ever admits what happens behind the closed doors.
