Best place for camping next to the river, they have nice and clean bathrooms, I want to update that lately when we for camping at this place we found big green scorpions on the camp ground, and a snake's at the edge of the small lagoon, so please be careful, with your kids

Weather was great. No need for gen. or ac. Stayed on the lake side. Night was in the 70s day was 97-99. Been coming here since 2001. Bought the year pass and will be using it alot. Dry camping no hookups but been used to this from the beginning. Great place for boating and fishing on the river

Really beautiful and quiet. I was the only one there besides the Camp Host, Atilla, who was very welcoming. Follow posted signs instead of Google Maps while approaching! It tries to take you across the river

First of all, I MUST preface this with the fact I'd never been camping before and I thank God this was NOT where I stayed for the weekend. God willing, I will NEVER go back to this place. EVER. The route the GPS took us was over an extremely rough and rocky gravel road of at least 3 miles long. HORRIFIC experience. Felt compelled to drive no faster than 15 - 20 MPH which made the drive seem to last ridiculously long. Once there, the bathroom was a hole in the ground. If you didn't have an RV, a tent was your ONLY option. Was truly bare bones as far as a camping experience goes.

First come, first serve.
All of the kids were in the water absolutely all day, as many as 30 at a time. The water does move but there is a safe area around the loading area that is safe. The water was fairly clean..no issues at all, the entire wknd
The final approach road was dirt and relatively bumpy but only for a little while. Go slow and you sholud be fine in any car
You have to pay. I think there are other nicer spots around than this one and free. Keep searching i went there and it's not that nice. I decided to go up river and stay there and it was much nicer.
Not true, water is just over the bridge in. Cibola at Karlze sand shack, dump in blythe on brodway at the sanitation plant.
Yes. Look thru pics posted here and you'll see the fees. I believe camping is$15/night. It is a Gov recreation area maintained by BLM I think!
