Stayed 6 nights. Rooms are incredibly small. Bathroom was the size of an outhouse. Sink wouldn't drain. Notified staff for 3 days before someone came to try and fix it. Still didn't drain properly. Morning breakfast had expired milk and juice. Rooms smelled of mildew and cigarettes. Stains on old carpeting. I wanted to leave the moment I checked in but they said they wouldn't reimburse me. There were only two positives, the wifi was faster than most hotels and housekeeping was friendly, they cleaned the room and took trash out 4 of the days. I would not recommend this place unless there is nothing else available. Especially for the price at over 100 a night.

When I checked in, I was told that there would be breakfast. The office was locked at 0800, when I went to check it out. I called the hotel number and spoke with Wanda, who informed me that the morning person had called out, and she “hadn’t made it in yet.” I reminded her, that there was supposed to be breakfast, and she said that it wasn’t the hotel’s fault that there was no one there. I told her that I felt like, if you charge someone $120 for a room so small that 2 people could not move around in it, and breakfast was promised, then there should be breakfast. She promptly hung up on me. I was not rude (expressing my dissatisfaction is not), and I did not yell. I will add that there was not one other car in the parking lot. I am thinking that there is breakfast if there is a full house. Booked on Orbitz. I will also be leaving a review about my encounter with Wanda, there.

I usually don’t write poor reviews but this time I really feel I should. I had called Mount Blue and made a reservation over the phone some weeks before my trip to Maine, which I was doing to pay my last respects to an old friend. I had spoken with the desk clerk who took all my information and provided me with an email confirmation. In short, when I got there the reservation was not honored. The desk clerk had no idea what to do or how to run the register to provide a refund. The Mount Blue owner was contacted but refused to speak with me and after some time of back and forth conversation I was told there was nothing they could do. I was forced to put out friends in their home to allow me to stay. I strongly urge anyone thinking of going to careful and would also suggest looking into the Comfort Inn a shot way down the road. I for one will never come back.

On September 3rd 2021 I unfortunately got told by the women running the front desk that I would not be allowed to check into my room after I told her that I had an emotional support dog. I was informed they had a special room for animals and it was booked up. I asked what we could do to remedy the situation and she said I was out of luck because it was non refundable. I told her I had 4 children and no where else to go for the holiday weekend, and she was unsympathetic. She got a tone with me and became rude when I told her it was against the law to deny housing to me, with a service animals including ESA animals. She put her manager on the phone, who ultimately got a tone also. I got yelled at. I explained my rights having an emotional support animal who is prescribed by a licanced maine clinician and was told it isn’t the same as a service animal, which is is according the ADA rights in the state of maine. They are allowed to board airplanes and stay in hotels for free. She told me again and again I was wrong, which ultimately left me without $330 and violated my rights. I will be reaching out to an attorney and reporting this business to the BBB and reporting the charge as fraudulent. I highly recommend that you look elsewhere. The people running this place are absolutely rude. You do not yell at another human being for not knowing “stipulation “ that were not even posted on the website, and are illegal. I told her I would be leaving a bad review, and she asked why since I wasn’t even staying at the motel. Well I’m leaving this bad review because of their refusal, stealing my money and violating my rights. STEAR CLEAR if your traveling with a support animal or service animal!!! These people are crooks!!!!

It cost me $107 to rent the big room on the end for 1 night. I thought that was reasonable for 5 adults, a dog, and 2 cats i am from out of state as well
