Thieves ! Avoid HERTZ 2nd time we are disappointed. We booked and paid for a Chevrollet Equinox and only received a Nissan Rogue. Result no place for suitcases. Stuck for 3 weeks and no solutions by HERTZ. A shame !

Since there is no review in German yet, I decided to share my experience with Hertz Reseda. I reserved a compact car (Chevrolet Spark) for my two week road trip as it was far cheaper than at LAX. Other city stations in L.A. were also significantly more expensive. The big difference in price and the partly negative Google reviews made me skeptical at first, and it was also the first time that I rented a car on my own. To save even more, I entered a CDP code from ADAC when booking via the Hertz website, which was supposed to waive the young driver fee (U25). So I took public transport from Hollywood to Reseda and was pretty nervous that something wasn't going to work out. However: smoothly! Very friendly manager who did the paperwork with me. My CDP code was accepted without a murmur, of course after presentation of the proof. No additional insurance was offered to me and the best thing was that I got a Malibu (Passat size) instead of my Spark at no extra charge. I can only recommend this place! Regarding the previous European speakers regarding debit cards: when booking the car, it is made very clear that debit cards are not accepted and that the card must be made out to the renter! So definitely not a scam...

Both gentlemen were nice, but they provide service super slow. We arrived at 08.30am with an reservation and left at 09.15am. Car was nice and clean, but almost empty. Official opening time is 9am, but they open earlier at 8.30am most of the time.
