Best Supercharger experience I’ve ever had. A TON of chargers, and the inside was like a first class airport lounge. Bathrooms, room to stretch out and relax, coffee bar, vending machines.. the works. Free wifi as well. Pro tip: if you’re hungry, order food for takeout before you pull in, then you can eat your fast food meal while your car charges. Several open tables for dining inside or outside.

Great charging stop with lots of superchargers, rarely crowded. The lobby is nice with many comfortable chairs, vending machines, a coffee bar and Tesla merchandise. In-N-Out burger is nearby and can take your food to eat in the lobby. Nice outside area with fake grass to walk your pet. This time the women bathroom was not clean, that is why the 4 stars.

This is a great supercharger! Its just a couple minutes off the freeway, it has clean restrooms that require a code to enter and they have a lounge that you can relax in with vending machines and you can even order a coffee from the coffee shop inside. I always stop here to charge up when I'm on the 5.

2 possibilities, 1. You have more than 50% charge, 250 kW will slow down to 90 kW and will continue to drop as you reach full charge. When you reach 50% or more charge, 250 kW & 150 kW Supercharger gives about the same output. 250 kW will only save about 5 minutes from 0 to 100%. 2. Detective/over heating supercharger, try another one.
Yes, a key code is required. Tap the station's icon on your navigation screen and it should show you the code. The owner's lounge and 40 charging stations make this one of the best locations in the west.
Yes. No problem. (But you can't eat anything inside.)
Not at this time. Tesla's Musk has said that Tesla would work with other car manufacturers on this, but so far there's been no progress.
I think it will be available. There are 40 charge stations there.
You will incur idle charges if the whole place is over 50% full once you finish charging.
Navigation map on your Tesla. Click on the supercharger icon and it should show you the pin and the number of chargers being used at Kettleman City.
All tesla superchargers are really fast. Sounds like you are a new owner or this is your first long trip. So some tips. The Tesla estimates on remaining battery on arrival are pretty good based on normal speeds. When charging look at the KW of power you are getting if your battery is low you should be getting 90KW to 110KW, a smart strategy to reduce total trip charging time is to stop charging when your charge rate slows down , if you have enough to get to next charger. The other really important thing are the chargers are in pairs and labeled, like 4A and 4B, and these share 120KW, first person gets priority. So look carefully when parking. Good luck.
