My experience with Van Orsdel Funeral Home and Crystal Van Orsdel was nothing short of exemplary. From the initial consultation during our pre-planning meeting with her and through to the Memorial celebration of life we had after my Mother passed away, she explained our options and contact points with the Van Orsdel staff. Not only did everything happen on time and as promised, but when any entity including doctors and county depts. had the process in their hands, she followed up to ensure they would complete their responsibility so the process would continue to the next step. Once my beloved mother reached their facility after her passing, she called me and ensured me that they would continue to care for her so I would rest assured. During the function at the funeral home, our family and friends were received in a clean and inviting lacale with helpful attendants who all went out of their way to ensure the function went off without any glitches. The use of digital media also allowed people to attend virtually which was also an added bonus for those who could not attend in person. Of course the loss of your loved one is never easy nor painless by any stretch of the imagination, but I would recommend Crystal Van Orsdel and her family to care for a beloved family member or friend without hesitation and with much confidence knowing that the pricing is competitive and that their care will be the best. One last suggestion, I would try to pre-plan if possible because at the time of your loss it is difficult to make all the decisions and contact the proper entities that must be made aware at the time you are most grieving. If you have contracted them and previously planned for the passing, they will gladly make those contacts for you and keep you informed of what is happening along the way. May peace be with you always and that you enjoy the love of all your family and friends as long as possible.

Being one of the most difficult times to make such important decisions, my siblings and I were pleased with the services and care provided by Cynthia Emery and the rest of the Van Orsdel Funeral team (Dawn Plummer was excellent as well) in Kendall. They were compassionate, and very helpful throughout the process. I wanted to keep things simple, and not feel overwhelmed with decisions, and they gave us that. They were never pushy in overselling, and were accommodating in our situation of both our parents having passed. From the cozy, living room- room setup nicely furnished, the service, cleanliness, to the catering provided, the beautiful video of pictures of my parents and family, as well as the pastor that spoke so eloquently, we feel my parents would be pleased of how they were honored and remembered. We appreciate Van Orsdel team for their professionalism, knowledge, and care.
