This was our 2nd time here. We like the place and appreciate the good value in an expensive part of the world. We rented the tiniest room, and we were happy. We spent most of our time outdoors--at the beach. I appreciated the fresh bagels and coffee in the morning. I bought my son a breakfast sandwich from the shopping center a 4-min walk away. Clean room. Clean, fluffy towels. Happy for the chance to get away. Be sure to check out Iron Pier Beach! And Lenny's Pizza!!

We are amazed with the location of the inn. Room was ok it was clean and comfy bed. But when we check the room we saw all the window locks are broken and they just put a wood stick to stop the windows from sliding. Good thing we checked everything before we go to bed. Then I went to the front desk person about my concern if he can do anything. We are willing to transfer to another room, but he just keep on saying that "it's ok nothing's gonna happen." And he didn't take any actions. Until we decided to leave the inn and transfer to another place to stay the night. I hope you make actions to this concern.

Place was super clean. Great place if you're doing things in the area and just need a clean place to sleep. Bars, restaurants, pizza and bagel shop are within walking distance. The motel also has a charcoal grill and picnic table. Highly recommend.

My wife and I stayed one night at the pet friendly Shorewood Inn in late December. It was beyond a wonderful experience. The room was spotlessly clean even though the weather was inclement. The bed was very comfortable and the heater was excellent. The Cross Sound Ferry is only 25 miles from the inn and was an easy drive early in the morning. During our trip from Florida, we stayed at nine different hotels and this was by far the best. I promise that if you make the Shorewood Inn part of your trip to Long Island you will not be disappointed.
