My Girlfriend and I went in to apply for auto refinance loan. We opened an account with them to apply for the auto refinancing. We finally received A letter stating that we were denied. After calling Sun credit union directly, We spoke with Sharon whom was a loan officer. We asked many questions and trying to get understanding as to why we were denied as loan approvals are based on many variables. Sharon was being very vague with her answers and was not very detailed with their process with loan applicants until after asking multiple rephrased questions. We tried asking If she had any recommendations on what to do Moving forward with any other methods to reapply or suggestions on applying at other locations or even applying at another time. Sharon continued to be direct and non empathetic Of the situation and bluntly saying that we should just pay off our debt not knowing the situation and how the debt came about, such as a death in the family or illness. Overall, the experience was disappointing. We were referred to this credit union by family and the customer service and care was just not there, ending with your denied and have a good one.

Membership to SUN Credit Union is open to the following: City of Hollywood Employees Businesses (employees/members/students) in the Chambers of Commerce of: -Hollywood -Davie-Cooper City -Dania Beach -Miami Shores Real Estate professionals in Broward and Miami-Dade Counties Miami Shores Village employees Immediate family members of SUN Credit Union members. If you do not qualify in the above ways, you are able to join with a donation to the Furry Friends club (Humane Society of Broward County) and the Gold Coast Youth Orchestra. This donation not only makes you a member of the credit union, but you become a member of whichever club you choose to donate to! Scroll to the bottom of the page, click on "Wiring Instructions & Forms" 3. Download, print, and complete membership application 4. Mail the application, along with the following documents to 4205 Hollywood Blvd, Hollywood, FL 33021. Documents needed: Copy of Drivers License Copy of Proof of Eligibility (Pay stub, employee badge, etc.) $10.00 ($5.00 one time membership fee and $5.00 minimum savings) in the form of check or money order.
