I loved that a video was sent to me showing the inspection of my vehicle. It gave me a lot of comfort because it showed the servicer's honesty and transparency. I was very impressed that the dealership took this step to help assure me as the customer as to the health of my vehicle based on the servicer's inspection. A+

My car has been in and out of service at this location for the past year, every time I pick up my vehicle something else goes wrong. I've had to bring my vehicle 4 different times so they could get the issue corrected, at first they were very professional and accommodating, but as I started questioning their work they got extremely upset and insinuated that I didn't trust them. I had to get Lincoln Concierge Management involved so they would stay on course. On the last time I had my vehicle in for service I had to come back two day in a row to get my car because they had left panels and garbage in the vehicle, I had to clean my car's interior before I could drive off. They were helpful while my vehicle was under the manufacturer's warranty and were eager to get things done even if they were done wrong, the manufacturer's warranty expired while my car sat in their lot for 3 months. I really hope upper management looks at this because they need to know the type of people they have working there. Update as of 9/6/2022 I took my vehicle to Coconut Creek Lincoln and it was night and day, they were able to correct what Pompano Lincoln did wrong. At Pompano Lincoln I was told they would have to change my passenger door (this was a door that had been replaced at Pompano Lincoln because of corrosion) because the hinge was spongy and there was no fix for it, bare in mind that they remove and put back my door multiple times because it was painted with the wrong color and also were not able to get it straight. At Coconut Creek Lincoln they were able to fix the issue without having to change the door and were able to get it done in a timely manner. at Pompano Lincoln they never even inspected the door and all they wanted to do was bill the warranty with Lincoln. Do yourselves a favor if you want to avoid headaches DO NOT TAKE YOUR VEHICLE TO GET SERVICE THERE, there are better options. One more thing, the GM, Oscar Naranjo sides with his people and does not care for Customer Service.

The service representative greeted me promptly and addressed my concerns. He informed me of the approximate timeframe it would take to service my vehicle and he gave me updates on the progress. I was surprised to learn that my vehicle was washed and vacuumed. Overall, it was a five-star experience.

Do dealerships register cars for you?

Pompano Lincoln | Dec 31, 2021
Pompano Lincoln | Dec 31, 2021

This is a good question. The answer all depends on which state the car is purchased in. In some states the buyer will need to take care of the registration outside the purchase of the vehicle, while in other states the dealership pays the registration on the buyer’s behalf as it is factored in as total cost of the vehicle. In the latter instance, the dealer registers the new car at the point of sale and forwards the information onto the DMV. In this scenario, it typically it takes about three weeks for the buyer to receive their registration in the mail.

Pompano Lincoln | Sep 27, 2021

Conventional hybrids (HEV) are primarily gas-powered cars that use electric motors to help out the internal combustion engine. Plug-in hybrids (PHEV) have a battery-powered electric motor that can function independently with enough range for a daily commute. The also have a conventional gas engine to extend the vehicle’s range. Battery electric vehicles (BEV) are powered solely by a battery and electric motor. Fuel cell electric vehicles (FCEV) use compressed hydrogen gas for fuel. When hydrogen is combined with air in the vehicle’s fuel cell, electricity is created and used to power the car’s electric motor.

Do I need to get my car serviced even if I'm not driving as often?

Pompano Lincoln | Sep 27, 2021
Pompano Lincoln | Sep 27, 2021

Your vehicle may be spending a lot more time in the driveway these days, delaying a mileage milestone that illuminates a service reminder light. While maintenance recommendations are often based on mileage or time, it’s important to consider that right now the suggested schedules could look a little different. Idle vehicles can suffer from dead batteries, stale gas and flat tires, which can lead to bigger, more costly issues down the road. Staying on top your maintenance routines will keep your vehicle in tip-top shape for when you’re ready to hit the open road.

What's the difference between used and certified pre-owned?

Pompano Lincoln | Sep 27, 2021
Pompano Lincoln | Sep 27, 2021

A used car is one that has had at least one previous owner and can be any age. A used car will usually only offer the remainder of the manufacturer's warranty, if it still applies. A certified pre-owned car or CPO is usually not more than 5-7 years old and is backed by the manufacturer. These vehicles are put through rigorous, multi-point inspections by trained technicians, and come with an extended warranty. The complete inspection of a CPO results in the replacement or repair of any damaged or worn parts before the car is certified and offered up for sale.

What's the difference between leasing and buying?

Pompano Lincoln | Sep 27, 2021
Pompano Lincoln | Sep 27, 2021

Leasing allows you to get more car for your money by allowing you to drive a more expensive car with lower payments - when compared to owning a car of the same price. Leases are structured in 2 to 3 year increments which means you will always be covered by a warranty and can get a new vehicle at the end of your leasing term. Buying offers freedom in other arenas with no restrictions on the miles driven or customization options. Once a financed vehicle is paid off, you will not have to make any more payments and you may keep the vehicle as long as you want. Warranties do expire, but you always have the option to purchase an extended warranty.
