Customer service is tops. My salesman was Nicholas. Throughout my long decision process, he was very patient and always available, including after hours on his personal number. This was very convenient for me as I was able to ask him questions in the evening- once I had the head space and kids were down for the night. He was very helpful and worked with us to come up with an affordable option that suited our needs. Once we settled on choosing Leaf, they sent down a plumber to install our system in the garage. It took a few hours and the plumber was friendly and patient. Before leaving, he gave us a user manual and had us sign that we understood how everything worked, which my husband did. Once he left, I realized that I actually did not understand the system and I contacted Nicholas, who said he'd come down to personally show us the system and answer all questions. True to his word, he arrived 2 days later. Good thing to- because when we entered the garage we noticed a leak in the plumbing of the new installation! Nicholas promised to fix the issue and had someone come down a few hours later. Problem solved. When I questioned some things on the manual, Nicholas said it was the wrong one and took it back, promising to send us a digital copy of the correct one (I'm still waiting on that, which leaves me wondering...). Long story short- we ended up a total of 3 leaks in 3 weeks. As with the 1st time it occurred, the next time we discovered a leak, Nicholas apologized and had a new plumber come down the same day. The 3rd time it happened, we had to wait 2 days for an available guy. The 2nd and 3rd plumbers told us that the 1st one had used too much glue to tighten the pipes, which ultimately caused the water pressure to break them. (The leaks were in 3 different areas). They mentioned the 1st plumber was no longer working for the LEAF company. Since the 3rd leak was fixed, we no longer had any issues, thank G-d. (besides for the 3rd leak being so big, it caused mold damage on our garage sheetrock wall. A rep said that if we get a quote from a contractor for damage repair, they will send in a claim for us. We didn’t get around to that yet, but if they do submit a claim, that deserves a lot of positive credit to the company for standing behind their products and any ensuing damage!) LEAF definitely had our back throughout the whole ordeal. I’m assuming that had a more competent plumber done the original job, we would have only positive reviews to say on LEAF. What stands out is LEAF’s customer service, making sure to resolve the issues as soon as possible, and being very accessible any time we tried to reach out. One thing that is bothersome right now is the fact that our user manual was taken away from us. That makes me wonder what’s hiding over there. I reached out multiple times and received many promises to get that digital copy, but nothing came of that – 2 months later! After my last email requesting those digital copies again, I received a response to reach out to someone else who would mail me a hard copy. The reason this bugs me even more, is because one excuse for taking away my hard copy was that the company is now “trying to save paper waste” / be “eco-friendly” and send a digital copy instead. So what changed here? I hope I will be able to update this review once I get my user manual back. There’s just something that smells really wrong about taking it away from a customer and never giving one back. A user manual should be a basic expectation for any product purchased.

Outstanding service from the sales rep to the installation. Not once did I feel pressured and answered all my concerns with patients. Best of all didn’t force me to purchase items that wasn’t needed, which showed integrity. The installer as well was patient in answering all my questions and did a clean installation. For those needing an hard water softener filtration system I strongly recommend Leaf home water solutions.

I have had issues with my system since day 1. The first system installed, one of the tanks had to be replaced. After the tank was replaced, it still didn’t work right. My water was extremely hard and it left hard water stains all over my brand new faucets and sinks. I had several people come out, and each time they would just add a regeneration cycle. Well, that didn’t work. So Leaf Home (after several hours on the phone trying to get a resolution) replaced the entire system with a completely different system. That system worked great for a couple weeks- if that. I was told that because they’re replacing my system that I need to go online and fix my 1 star review. I did. But shortly after that, my brand new system produces water that looks like apple juice. We have reached out to the people we were told to reach out to, and have only gotten 1 response. I’m currently sitting on hold waiting for Rob to respond to my phone calls and my text message from over 24 hours ago. If you decide to go with this system, make sure you are prepared to call and complain constantly in order to get anything done with your system. No one calls to follow up with the system after any install or maintenance call to make sure everything is working properly.

In some instances, certain contaminants in water may lead to health issues. Generally speaking, hard water does not pose a threat to health. It can, however, exacerbate eczema and acne. Hard water can also cause mineral buildup in hair, leading to a course texture, hair loss, and hair breakage.
