Site of the 2nd most famous gunfight in the wild West with little, to no, mention....needs more publicity. See Tom Clavin's book on Wild Bill Hickock....2 Chapters on Rock Creek.

If you like a quiet, shaded, & relaxing camping spot, this is it. Well-maintained, mowed, with very helpful camp hosts, if you need assistance. Bathrooms cleaner than ANY public restrooms I've been in.

Excellent out-of-the-way historical state park. I wasn't aware of the conflicting stories surrounding Wild Bill Hickok's historical beginnings.
