Very beautiful and peaceful place. It said it was closed but we were in the area and drove over to it. Was able to walk right up to it and see it in person.

The statue is on the edge if Fairview Cemetery. Approach on North Second Street
General Dodge's wife, Ruth, had a series of dreams. In the dream, the angel offered Mrs Dodge a drink from a vessel of water. Mrs Dodge refused the drink several times. One time Mrs Dodge accepted the offer and died shortly thereafter. The Dodge's daughters commisioned the statue in their mother's honor.
