We experienced terrible customer service at the maintenance counter at Bike Masters. It started immediately. We walked our bikes up to the counter and the gentleman working snobbishly asked us what was wrong with our bikes. We explained we were looking for a tune-up. He then rudely told my wife to move out of the way so he could put her bike up on the lift to inspect it. After taking a brief look he told us our bikes were "un-rideable" and needed repairs of at least $240 each. (We had just finished a ride, so clearly that assessment was inaccurate.) He quickly suggested we purchase completely new bicycles since the cost of repair was so high. We expected to pay a bit because our bike's are older and had not been tuned up regularly. Due to the absolutely rude customer service we decided it wouldn't be at Bike Masters. We went right over to Bike Rack where the experience was 180 degrees different. The gentleman behind their maintenance counter was friendly, helpful and explained in detail what we needed now vs. later. The tune-up is still going to cost us a decent amount but we are ok with it because Bike Rack treated us well. I highly recommend you stay away from Bike Masters!
