This place is a GEM in Buxton. It was perfect place for my husband and I to get a little get away. The views of the sound were spectacular. The staff very helpful guiding us to pick a room and discuss availability and very communicative prior to our stay and during our stay. The room was clean and well stocked. It was so helpful to have access to beach chairs, beach umbrellas and they even had floats, canoes, paddle boards and kayaks for guests to use. We opted for room service breakfast each morning and the food was delicious and we could enjoy the view while eating. I would highly recommend to anyone!

A special and lovely place we enjoyed for a birthday celebration a few days ago. The food is delicious and lovingly prepared. Each of the four of us got a different entree and each was exceptional! No one makes you feel rushed and it is part of the charm and appeal to be “on island time”. If you need to rush and feel pressured to hurry…go fast food. If you want a lovely evening (great sunset venue) wonderful atmosphere and a fabulous service, this should be your choice on the island.

Booked our reservation on a whim not knowing what to really expect. However, we were greeted right away with friendly and helpful staff. Room was nice, clean with a great view. Enjoyed the complimentary breakfast as well! We only stayed one night, wish we could’ve stayed more!

Every year on our wedding anniversary we spend the night out. This year we stayed at the Inn on Pamlico Sound. We were able to check in a bit early and found our room super clean, with an outstanding view. Made reservations for breakfast and got a soft drink with great cookies. Dinner that evening in their cafe was superb. Had a custom figgy martini and the chef made my salad to order, my husbands steak was cooked perfectly. Breakfast, included in the room price, was excellent too. I only gave the room a 4 rating because the building is old. Bathroom could use updating, but the shower, towels and bed were more than comfortable. Would love to return and paddle board one day.
