Kanki Japanese Restaurant is the perfect dining location for families special events. They make the take-out service very easy. It’s in a perfect location to enjoy the rest of the mall. I highly recommend this place.

The seated service was unbeatable! We were in the teppanyaki section with 19 of us together! Each family (4) has a separate check and we didn't sit with our ordering family. We were all split up, but they got all of our orders 100% and the bill was 100%. Very impressive! Our cook was a lot of fun and the kids and adults enjoyed his tricks and stunts. We had well enough food for everyone, the chef even served a plate to my mom who we didn't order a full meal for (just sushi). That was very thoughtful. Booking was more of a difficulty. There was one gal who couldn't tell me how many we could seat at one table. Then told me we can have 13 at a table the others would have another table. On that day I could only confirm 13 of us, so that's what i had booked. The next day, on the phone again, a young man was very informative and polite, and even called me immediately when there was a cancelation in order for our whole party to be on the reservation since we grew to 19 in stead of 13! They do tell you they won't seat you until your entire party is there. We all got there in time and checking in, the gal seemed surprised when we told her we were all there! We did have a short wait after that and to our suprise, we all were at ONE table (back to back, 2 chefs). There was even another party at the end of the table run of about 5 or 6...so if you had 20 to 25 you could fit on one table all together! Like I mentioned, it was with 2 chefs back to back. But not separated as I was told initially. We had a great time and rare that we could all make this happen to celebrate Family at a restaurant no less! A great fun place to experience a good dinner!

COVID has produced HIGHER PRICES, SMALLER PORTIONS, AND LESS STAFF. LUNCH menu unless you get Hibachi chicken is going to be about $20, they give little rice and meat portions...like you might as well go to a Japanese express that's half price and get the same thing. Sure the environment is nice but you will have to wait and then after the food is complete you will receive a check and to go box before finishing your little meal. I ordered the steak and it didn't even taste like steak, it taste like nothing and after they cut the fat off of it, it was ofcourse smaller. Save your money folks (unless you are getting the chicken)! It's not what's it use to be...no shrimp toss...guess they don't want to give each guest the 1 shrimp they use to and the soup was just water and the only flavor came from the fried onions and that jumbo mushroom slice (which also taste like nothing)...salad was straight out the fridge with dressing all ready on it. Taste like they prepared those yesterday.

First time eating here and it was amazing. Fast service and beautiful interior design. You really get your money's worth here. Huge servings for what you pay for. Lots of room at the table and you don't feel bunched up. Would definitely eat here again.
