7 hours and not seen a doctor. Spouses or attending family members are not allowed in emergency room while waiting. Staff seems to have no empathy towards any of the patients. And the non medical staff have an-- I don't care about you attitude. This is the only major hospital in northeast NC. And they act like they know it and could care less about your well being. Since waiting hours are minimum 6 hours you're better off traveling somewhere else for your "emergency".

This hospital does not take care of their patients. They have kept my husband tied to the bed the whole time he has been there. He is not the only patient treat like this. He has not receive the care he needs because there is a new doctor everyday. It is so sad. It breaks my heart. I plan to have him moved as soon as he is stable.

I had to give a star to write a review. They don't even deserve that. They are ridiculous here. My son came in early this morning with a pain crisis. Its 10pm. We are still waiting for a room. The staff and doctors are not considerate and with no urgency for the patients. You can hear the staff talking and laughing while patients call for assistance. These people do not care. They throw medical terminology at you to suffice until the realize youre fluent in the terminology and work at a hospital. 10:30 am the next morning and still in the ER.

Well I know only one visitor a day can see a person but if you take it yourself then you would be the 1 visitor because they could count that GrubHub as a visitor. This hospital use to be good but it is bad place to go now. I'm never going back to this place again.
5 hours, that's what I was told today when I called to check on my brother 3/30/22
Depends on if you have ECU, HOSPITALISTS or a Grastro doc in private practice BUT I CAN TELL YOU THAT A DOC HAS TO GIVE YOU RESULTS, they may be consulting other docs, I would ask to speak with your CHARGE NURSE, if no help then as for the NURSE MANAGER on floor, what floor are you on?
The health department is cheaper. Why pay a couple of thousand for an ED visit and the health dept is free. The ED is not a clinic and a pregnancy test is not an emergency. Not to mention the long long wait times
