This museum is what NC needed..my wife took me here in a surprise date and I enjoyed learning about the history of African Americans from the staff here. They’re very knowledgeable and it open up my eyes even more to our history in NC. This place is a must see…it’s small but packs a lot of jewels that’ll empower your life today.

There is no admission fee but we do happily accept donations/
John, the day in question regarding your visit which would have been Friday June 14th, a notice was on the entrance to the museum next to the door that the museum was closed due to a death in the family. The notice was posted from Thursday the 13th-Saturdaythe 15th. It was also posted on Facebook page. I am truly sorry for inconvenience this may have caused you and your family. As for your phone call, we were receiving a lot of condolences and messages regarding the loss of our loved one so we may not have received your call right away. We have made numerous attempts to have you come and visit the museum but you declined the offer. Let us know when you can come.
