Poor customer service. The nurse assistant for Dr. Vera has been very rude on several occasions over the phone. I followed up from a previous appt on 6/28 and left a voicemail. I called again on 7/1 because I hadn't heard back. The receptionist advised I would receive a call back on 7/5. After not receiving a call by 7/6, I called and spoke with the nurse for Dr.Vera. She was rude on the phone while I followed up - not seeming very interested in what I was asking. Then when she called me back that afternoon, she was even worse. I questioned her feedback because it was opposite of my initial appointment. She acted like she didn't care, so I requested to speak to the doctor directly. Regardless, I will be establishing primary care elsewhere, and finding a new urgent care location as well.

First appointment today to establish new primary care. My provider, Lee Townsend, was exceptional; very professional and thorough. Nurse was also exceptional. Been a long time since I have had the level of care from a family/primary cars provider and absolutely blessed to have made the decision to give Rocky Mount Family Medical Center an opportunity.

I have been coming here for 10 years or more but over the past couple of years I can’t ever be seen when I am sick or when I have a problem. They are more for maintenance than anything now. I’m SUPER frustrated. I’m not getting the care I need because they have taken on too many patients. Also, this new lab is a joke! End of rant.
