After deciding on a last-minute beach vacation, we were pleased to find that Sandlappers was able to supply us with a beach umbrella and chairs, which were delivered to our rental, just waiting for us to arrive and put them to use. We especially appreciate that the Mike’s Spike was included, making set up a breeze. Everything was in great condition and we will definitely rent from this business on our next visit!

We rented 4 bikes and 1 kid trailer and they were delivered to our rented beach house before we arrived. The trailer worked great with our 2-year old. One of the bikes had a problem - but the guys at Sandlappers made things right! We were quite satisfied with our experience - especially working with Damon.

Great service at a fair price, the setup/take down service was a tremendous time saver, and helped me avoid the extra effort of lugging chairs and umbrellas back and forth to the beach. Our rental in Ocean Isle Beach was not on directly on the beach, but each day the setup was tagged with our name, and in the same general location each day, and was in a reasonable distance of the beach access, not too close, nor too far. Just be aware when looking for your location the next day, that they do have different shades of blue for umbrellas, so one day you may have a dark blue one, and the next a light blue one. They also take the safety aspect very seriously, and as a civil engineer, I know how powerful wind can be on large surfaces, so I respect the fact that they do monitor the wind, and simply will not set up in certain weather conditions. Just about every day we saw someone's umbrella blown across the beach into the dunes. We had a 7.5-foot umbrella and four chairs. It worked pretty well for us, since we typically had two people in the shade and two in the water at any given time, but if you are going to have more than two in the shade, you should consider a 9 foot umbrella, though just 18 inches wider, it offers about 50% more area for shade. I was a little concerned about the reviews, but a lot of the issues brought up regarding weather related delays were pretty clearly brought up in the reservation process, so I decided to proceed. I am glad I did. One suggestion I do have is maybe consider sending customers a text with a Google Map pin to show the precise location of the setup to eliminate all doubt on the part of the customer trying to find the location of the setup. Since we rotate vacation locations year to year, I probably won't be back in the area for a few years, but when we return, I'll be booking from these guys.

Good Question. Our pricing is typically 5% or more LESS than any other vendor in the area on over 90% of our products. We strive to be able to offer you more quality products and service than anyone else. Having been in business since 2010, we strive to be known for those two areas, pricing and quality. Just as an example, we have a Package A, which consists of an Umbrella, 2 backpack chairs and umbrella Anchor for $65. My competitor is $60. Now I know you're thinking we're $5 more, however we INCLUDE the anchor. They charge you $15 more for an anchor, so their price is really $75, which is $10 more than ours. We INCLUDE umbrella anchors with all of our umbrella rentals. Our premium setup & take-down service is considerably less as well. Our 7.5' umbrella with Setup & Take-Down is only $110 for the week, their price is $135.
Hi, Thanks for asking. Our umbrellas are made by a local company here in NC who produces umbrellas in various styles and shapes utilizing fabrics from Sunbrella, Outdura and a few others. We buy quality products from them because they also are unique in that they also manufacture their own fiberglass frames, which is an easily repairable type frame. So far as the expense in setup and take-down. Well, we try and keep things as minimal as possible. Example. Our leading umbrella for setup and take down is our 7.5'umbrella and it is priced at $110 each. Our only other competitor starts at $135 so you can see we are not quite that expensive when comparing apples to apples. Our 9 foot and 11 foot umbrellas are more pricey to rent because well, they cost a ton of money as they are 'specialized manufactured' umbrellas and they don't come cheap to buy.
Unlike previous years where we have our own linens supplied, this year we opted to reach out to other laundry services in the area and one vendor is offering upgraded linens for our customers to use. By utilizing them, we are able to obtain higher quality linens such as 250 TC sheets as compared to everyone else here offering 180TC sheets. It may not seem like a huge difference in TC but you do feel the difference and a softer feel just makes for a better nights rest.
Well, firstly, we have been in business since 2010. We have worked hard to establish ourselves in the area. One of our goals was and still is, to offer rental items for less than anyone else and we do that for over 90% of our product line-up, the remaining we are in-line with other dealers. We have learned our lessons along the way though. We made bad choices in trying to figure out the different types of chairs and umbrellas to buy but we learned and learned quickly. We base our business not just on price points but on quality and expediency of service. We are the ONLY company in the area that offers 3 different styles and sizes of umbrellas, from 7.5', 9' and 11ft. umbrellas. We have our umbrellas custom made to our specifications by a local manufacturer here in NC. Our chairs, as with any beach chairs, (at least 99.9% of them) are brand name, such as Tommy Bahama, Frankford, etc. You get more savings for less $ with Sandlappers
