IF YOU HAVE REAL PROBLEMS AND WANT REAL ANSWERS, THIS IS NOT THE PLACE FOR YOU!!! they will charge your insurance and do nothing. This is a review of the last 5 years of being a patient here. Ive been through 4 doctors before one left the practice. The 5th doctor diagnosed me with a serious illness based on info from a specialist without anyone doing any of the appropriate tests and then afterwards they dismissed an obvious sickness as " normal". I updated my insurance to get a better doctor and ended up at the downtown office. The last time I went I was totally dismissed. I wasnt heard, I was gaslit by this medical group for years and had to learn and do my own research. I solved one of my own problems that kept being dismissed as normal after the first 2 years concerning a skin issue by specifically asking for a Referral to a specialist. The specialist took over 3 visits to take me seriously and put skin scrapings under a microscope and much to their surprise I had self diagnosed correctly over a year prior. I was given 3 different types of medication and when I returned to wilson medical group with proof of what I had been claiming and being very upset that they had been continuously dismissing me, I noticed an immediate change in the way I was treated. This marks my changing from one doctor to another. The last doctor I saw, the new* Doctor was very obviously fresh out of a highschool/ fast track because she looked 20. She did NOT take my blood. She did NOT ask what my main concern was. She forgot their was a pain scale. She was either ignorant about a medication and its ingredients or prescribed me " just anything" in an effort to get rid of me. She knew of my allergies yet prescribed me a medicine I was allergic to. I didnt even bring it to her attention because I couldnt believe I was only there for a total of 20 minutes from parking to restarting my vehicle. I find that reckless and inattentive. When I was checking out to leave, I was bewildered at the lack of care and again the dismissal. The receptionist turned and yelled back into the office and asked about a followup appointment and the Dr. Lady said only when I call with "another problem"... Imagine getting a severe diagnosis knowing cancer is the next step and if youve been experiencing the same exact symptoms for 5 years, that possibility is very real and then to be called and told everything looks normal after . non specific scan. I feel my complaints about symptoms have been mistreated and I've been neglected. This is SUPPOSED to be the best practice in wilson. I guess they are all still practicing. I'm planning to go to Chapel Hill soon to get real answers from real licensed physicians with doctorate degrees that are done "practicing" and know what they are doing so I can leave this horrible dismissing non caring narcissistic practice and all of its belittling and gaslighting behind. Ive gotten better care from the health department before I got insurance.

Make sure you receive a receipt for payment paid the same bill twice got sent to collections over $43 copay for a yearly physical Accounts department is very messy!

I enjoy my visit to this medical group. Dr. Marshburn is very nice and the staff has always treated me nice. It doesn't take you all day to be seen for your appointment.
