Not only do they have a great selection of records in all types of music, there are bins of cds and dvds for $1. They also have books, magazines, and VHS tapes. And if they don't have what you're looking for they will try to order it or recommend another store that might carry it. All this combined with a friendly staff makes Phono Select a store that deserves our support.

Large selection, good prices, friendly staff. Always try and stop in when I'm in town.

Not the friendliest record store in Sacramento in my experience, wasn't greeted or talked to. Records I wanted were more expensive here in store than on eBay. Example, I saw a 1967 pressing of Highway 61 Revisited for $50 but ended up buying the same pressing in similar condition from eBay for $30 shipped. I'm not from around Sacramento so I probably won't be going back.

We play test and meticulously grade each used record, we stand by everything we sell, we allow returns unlike most used stores. To compare a physical store to ebay makes no sense they are not the same thing, you can find anything cheaper online from anyone not incurring the expenses of engaging in brick and mortar retail.

Yes, we do vinyl or CDs only, condition must be VG+ or better, when in doubt just bring them to the shop during business hours.
At this time we would not be interested in any Classical vinyl outside of donations, the market for the Classical is very small Thanks for reaching out
No we usually just get cds
Mask required and they do have hand sanitizer at the door, which they ask you to use before digging through records.
Depends, we buy Horror / Sci-Fi/Music related / Midnight movies, we sell our VHS tapes for about $3-$5 bucks.
depends on what you have. Punk metal reggae in good condition they're going to give you a good price for. records and other genres or vinyl that is not taken care of they most likely will not buy. one reason it's such a good Record Shop is because they are picky with what they put in the bins.
Yep
