Husband and I stay here every 4-6 times a year when visiting Sacramento. The rooms have always been clean and tidy. My main concern is that the bathtub seems extra slippery; we want to start bringing a bathmat for our own safety. Other than that, we've had no incidents.

This was my first time staying at this particular Holiday Inn Express. I'd like to thank the staff for their welcoming and professional service. I'm glad I chose this hotel and will definitely return the next time I'm in the area.

Positive: Location. Beds are comfortable. Negative: This place is a "dump!" Carpet stains everywhere. Rooms smell like smoke. Old furniture with tears. Shower floor uneven like standing on warped boards. Definitely disappointed for the cost of the room.

Let me give you some upfront info. I am a spire elite member, and I travel all over the west coast, and I stay at IHG hotels most of the time. I have stayed at this location many times over the last 5 years, and I know that there is some industry/traffic noise nearby, but it is in a good location for my work, and has never been a problem. This stay though, was by far the worst one yet, and I have attempted to contact the manager, but zero reply. This hotel does have some good, as others have posted, but here are the bad that I experienced. 1. Breakfast- I stayed there a week. It was the exact same breakfast every day. Zero change. I know that Covid protocols restrict some things, and the menu is still limited, but no variety at all is not one of those restricti ons. 2. Itchy Sheets. Found something crawling in the sheets. This is a total first for me. Never had that happen before. I took the little guy down to the front desk, and they (no manager on duty) were like "Whoa". "We'll tell the manager when he comes in. He will get ahold of you." Apparently, he has still not come in yet. 3. Dog hair and hopefully dog food on the bed skirt- After finding the bug, I did a little sleuthing. On the window side of the bed, on the skirt, there was a brownish splash (dried) and a bunch of hair. Looked like dog. Hopefully dog. Hopefully dog food. I did not bring a dog. So, what I do know is that not all of the bedding was laundered before I slept in it for a week. Yuck. I don't write many reviews, even when things are a little under par, but this was a bit much for me. Especially when the manager is out to lunch. I'm sure that he will post his canned reply of "thank you, your review will make us better". Let's see:
