Twenty years ago, Safeway was the primary place I shopped. I had the card, did the personal coupons, the works. I moved away for awhile to a place with no nearby Safeway. When I came back, I realized how much higher the prices had become. I stopped in last weekend when a friend wanted to grab something. Everything was so much more expensive than WinCo. Most things were at least 30-40% higher. Even the sale items were more expensive than normal WinCo prices. 🤷🏻‍♂️

Very very poor customer service . Took my items to buy was not greeted , acknowledged or thank you just looked at me and said nothing , which lead me to believe she didn't like my the pigment of my skin due to the fact she fully greeted and acknowledged the man before me who was fair skin and another person behind who was also fully greeted even while I was paying for my items ( pretty disrespectful ) also the also fair pigment so with me being darker and with me shopping casual and cordially there was no other reason besides prejudices , it's sad and a shame . This was @ 11:30 June , 28th 2020 on the arden way safeway cashier name was JAZMYN , female cashier fair skinned so beware shopping at this location and time you might want to shop at another location or even walmart before 11 p.m .

I'm finding that Safeway doesn't have the items they advertise. I paid $99 for their Fresh Pass delivery service... This week's special was bone in pork sirloin chops for 99 cents a pound in the value pack. I ordered three packs. What I received was four packages of individual pork chops for a $1.99 lb. I took them back to the store and was told that the orders do not come from the store. I said that there was a do not substitute on the order. The girl then tells me that there was no do not substitute order because she pulled the order herself. But wait, I thought my order did not come from the store? On the previous week they had bone-in skin on chicken thighs for a $1.79 a pound. I ordered one package, despite the do not substitute order, they sent me a 3 lb package of boneless skinless chicken thighs at $5 a pound or $15. That's two weeks in a row. When I go into the store and I checked two Safeways neither had the pork chops that they had advertised instead they had smaller packages for twice the advertised price. When I had a business, this was called bait and switch and was illegal.

Oh my goodness did this area get a major facelift! I hadn't been here in a long time and I was shook when I saw it. New eateries were in place that looked trendy and able draw in the crowds every night. The Safeway store got a remodel on both inside and out. ** I noticed that there is now a Security guard who roams the parking lot during the evening.
