Although I was not able to get through to anyone after calling on multiple occasions, a very kind clerk, Gloria, returned my voicemail and was extremely helpful and kind. She apologized and explained that her co-worker was out on vacation.

Clerk office secretary is so rude. I had more questions and she just hung up. I think they should be more respectful on the phone then just saying hello

I am so disappointed in how my home town clerk of court operates. After driving there to handle an eviction I was given a list of things to complete in order to file the paperwork. That was not a problem. The office was not busy at all. Everyone was laid back and twiddling their thumbs. After completing the packet I take it back to the office to submit. It was 4:35. The very friendly, this is me being sarcastic, receptionist refused to take it because I did not have an appointment. Furthermore she informed me that she had closed down everything for the day. I asked what time do you close? It's not like I was asking to view a home, test drive a car or apply for a loan. I was submitting paperwork inorder to be added to the calendar for a court date. She refused to take the packet because I did not have an appointment. I asked was there someone to review the paperwork make sure I had completed everything and she told me to visit one of the attorneys in the area. What in the world?? The backwards and upside down nonsense was upsetting and made me very sad to say this was my hometown! She nor the rules represent the majority of the residents but she let an awful impression. Needless to say I have to take off another day off work, lose gas money and drive 2.5 hours again just to turn in paperwork because this little bitty would not do what was needed in order to serve and assist.

What kind of place only accepts appointments if you're calling the day of????? Its bad enough North Carolina is regulation happy as it is to collect money
