I volunteered for an event at the Cottonwood Apartments scheduled for November 19, 2021. I took off work so I could volunteer on a Friday morning and on Thursday afternoon at 3 PM, 18 hours before the event, they arbitrarily canceled with …Hi James, Thank you so much for taking the time to share your thoughts with us. In this instance, our partner agency food pantry had to make the tough decision to cancel their scheduled distribution, leaving us with the only option to cancel the volunteers scheduled to help us with conducting our client survey during said distribution. I understand that doesn't make it any less frustrating to have arranged your schedule to join us for volunteering just to have that cancellation happen. Volunteers are such an important part of the work being done in our community through the Food Bank's programs, and we do not take it lightly when someone is inconvenienced with a last minute cancellation.
